Jennifer Weinik is a native Philadelphian who has been training dogs ever since she adopted “Max”, a stray shepherd mix, near Temple’s campus in 1994.  That moment changed Jenn’s life forever, and soon after, she had 2 more dogs and had taken a job as a pharmacy tech at the Veterinary Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Her 115-pound Alaskan Malamute, “August”, learned many tricks, and was so well behaved and sweet natured that for many years, Jenn took him to visit young patients at CHOP, as well as elderly residents of Roxborough’s Cathedral Village.   After getting her first German Shepherd Dog, “Felix”, who needed much more than exercise as an outlet for his tremendous energy, Jenn fell in love with the dog sport of AKC Competitive Obedience.

Today, Jennifer teaches several, weekly dog obedience classes in the Philadelphia area.  She regularly attends seminars with the top trainers in the nation, and competes in dog obedience trials with her Belgian Malinois, "Poe".

Throughout her 22 years working with and training dogs, Jennifer has rescued, owned, and rehabilitated dogs with serious aggression issues, enabling them to live successfully with her children, her other dogs, and her community.  Her goal is to live, love, and learn with ALL dogs!
